Lineman Appreciation Day
April 18 is National Lineman Appreciation Day, and utilities across the state and country are using the week to recognize the commitment, dedication, and skill of our lineworkers. We thank them for their continuous dedication to our communities, and for their hard work to keep the lights on at our homes and businesses.
If the power is on where you are reading this article, you have a lineman to thank.
On April 18, and every day, we recognize the efforts of the men and women who risk their lives daily to keep electricity flowing to our nation's homes and businesses, and we appreciate their never-ending service.
National Lineman Appreciation Day was first recognized on April 10, 2013, by the U.S. Senate by Resolution S Res 95.
