Public Power Customer Appreciation Event
Posted: Friday, August 10, 2018
Today! Stoughton Utilities is celebrating Public Power by holding a Public Power Customer Appreciation Event at Nordic Ridge park on August 21. Public Power Week is observed annually during the first full week of October, and celebrates the reliable, affordable electricity that publicly owned utilities provide to their communities. This year, Stoughton is celebrating its 127th anniversary as a Public Power Community!

Public Power puts the people of Stoughton first, and Public Power Week gives us the chance to celebrate the advantages of locally owned power with our citizens.

At our Customer Appreciation Event, which will be held at Nordic Ridge park and splash pad between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on August 21, utilities staff will be offering free energy efficient LED light bulbs to customers, providing snacks and refreshments, and offering a prize drawing for an Ecobee Smart Thermostat. We will also have a dunk tank to raise money for accessible park equipment. Bring a donation and soak the utility staff!

Come meet your Stoughton Utilities staff and learn more about your community owned utility!
