Calling all kids! Sharpen your colored pencils and bust out your crayons!

To celebrate National Lineworker Appreciation Day on April 18, Stoughton Utilities is pleased to announce a coloring contest for children. Deadline for entry is April 18.

The coloring contest runs from now through April 18 to raise awareness and show appreciation to the local utility’s line crew. One of the benefits of a locally owned, not-for-profit utility like Stoughton Utilities, is a dedicated, hometown line crew ready to respond quickly when issues arise.

One grand prize winner will receive a $50 Visa gift card, and one additional winner from each of three age groups will receive a $25 Visa gift card. Check your April bill for the contest details and coloring page!
Contest rules: Children ages 4-12 are eligible. Entries must be received in our office by April 18, 2020. Winners will be chosen by utility staff. All decisions of the judges are final. One submission per child. Child’s parent or guardian must be a customer of Stoughton Utilities. Entries can be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to our office at: Stoughton Utilities Po Box 383 Stoughton, WI 53589
Lineman Appreciation Day
April 18 is National Lineman Appreciation Day, and utilities across the state and country are using the week to recognize the commitment, dedication, and skill of our lineworkers. We thank them for their continuous dedication to our communities, and for their hard work to keep the lights on at our homes and businesses.

If the power is on where you are reading this article, you have a lineman to thank.

On April 18, and every day, we recognize the efforts of the men and women who risk their lives daily to keep electricity flowing to our nation's homes and businesses, and we appreciate their never-ending service.

National Lineman Appreciation Day was first recognized on April 10, 2013, by the U.S. Senate by Resolution S Res 95.
