Due to an outage experienced by the regional electrical transmission provider, Stoughton Utilities lost the incoming power supply to two of our four substations. The transmission line was de-energized shortly following a heavy rainstorm, however we do not yet know if these events were related. As a result of the loss of electrical transmission, approximately 1/3 of Stoughton Utilities customers lost power at 3:48 p.m. At 4:42 p.m. the transmission line was re-energized and power was restored to all affected customers.
