Renewable Energy Workshop
Posted: Tuesday, February 11, 2020
Go green... go renewable! Increasing concern over climate change is driving renewed interest in clean energy options like solar and wind. While harnessing the wind and sun for clean energy is not new, what is new are the number of advances made in these technologies.

On February 20th at 6:00 p.m., Stoughton Utilities is sponsoring Sustainable Stoughton’s Green Thurday event which will discuss the latest in solar and wind technologies. This event is being held at the Lageret, 515 East Main Street in Stoughton. The speaking program begins at 6:30 and features the continuing efforts of Stoughton Utilities to make renewable energy available to residents, businesses, and non-profits. At 7:40, a local solar installation company, Synergy Renewable Systems, will speak on the residential application needs of solar systems.

Representatives from five organizations -- Stoughton Utilities, Renew Wisconsin, Synergy Renewable Systems, Solar for Good, and Solar Speed -- will be available before and after the program to answer questions and provide you with additional information. Attendees can interact with all presenters and companies during the wrap-up panel at 8 p.m.

If you are interested in solar or wind energy or simply want to learn more about them, the Lageret is the place to be on February 20th. Getting ahead of climate change requires major changes in energy generation... and what better place to begin than our own community! Please stop by and see what's available.
