Choose Renewable and Win a Smart Thermostat!
Posted: Wednesday, April 22, 2020
Now through the end of May, sign up for our Choose Renewable program and be entered to win a new ecobee smart thermostat!

Stoughton Utilities is committed to investing in clean renewable energy. As our customer, you can purchase renewable energy blocks to offset a part or all of your electrical usage through our Choose Renewable program. Renewable energy is generated from clean energy sources such as wind, biogas, and the sun, and can be purchased in 300 kilowatt-hour (kWh) blocks for just $3 a month! Not only will you be helping to support your community with clean energy, but now through the end of May, when you sign up for our Choose Renewable program you will be entered to win a new ecobee smart thermostat for your home!

A smart thermostat is a Wi-Fi enabled device that “learns” your habits to help you manage home heating and cooling costs. The thermostat will then adjust your HVAC equipment based on your home’s unique energy profile and the actual and predicted outdoor weather forecast. This can save you up to $120 a year!

Purchasing just one block of renewable energy each month for one year has the equivalent impact on the environment as not driving a car for six months, and avoids emitting over three tons of carbon dioxide. Click here for more information on our Choose Renewable program.

You can also enroll by logging in to My Account or Application downloading the enrollment form and returning it to us.

For each block of renewable energy you commit to purchasing through our Choose Renewable program, you will be entered to win a new ecobee smart thermostat. Limit 3 entries per customer. We must receive your enrollment between April 1, 2020 and May 31, 2020 to be entered into the drawing. Drawing is open to residential customers only. Prize is one ecobee smart thermostat in black, and does not include installation. No purchase necessary; contact us for an entry form. The winner will be drawn at random and notified by phone.
